Abstract
The original was created circa 1655, Dolci's rendition has been considered the most popular, and exemplifies "his firm intention to paint only works which would inspire the fruits of Christian piety in those who saw them" (Baldinucci.). The picture postcard was a Christmas greeting card sent from Dresden to Yonkers, New York.
