In consideration whereof the said master shall provide and procure, sufficient meat, drink, washing, lodging and apparel fitting for such apprentice, during the said term and teach the said apprentice to read the Bible well, to write and cypher through the rule of three and learn him or cause him to be learned the art mistery and trade of a blacksmith, and at the expiration of said term, pay or cause to be paid to said apprentice, the freedom dues customary for such apprentices.
