COUNTY OF ROCKINGHAM, to-wit:
In the Circuit Court of said County:
The grand jurors in and for the body of said county of
Rockingham and now attending said Court at its October term, 1927,
upon their oaths do present that Luther Tanksley, who was heretofore
on the 21st day of October, 1926, convicted of violating the Prohibition laws of t he Commonwealth of Virginia, in the Circuit Court
of Augusta County, Virginia, and who then and there was sentenced
to pay a fine of fifty dollars, did, on or about May 12, 1927, in
t he said county of Rockingham , unlawfully and felonious ly manufacture, sell, offer, keep, store and expose f or sale, give away,
transport, dispense, solicit, advertise and receive orders for
ardent spirits, agai n st t he p eace and dignity of t he Commonwea lth
of Virginia.
The jurors af oresaid upon their oaths aforesaid do further
pre s ent that Luther Tanksley, who was heretofore on the 21st day
of October, 1926, convicted of viola ting the Prohibitio n laws of
t h e Commonwea lth of Virgi nia, in t he Circuit Court of Augu sta County,
Virgi n ia, and who t hen and t here was sentenced to pay a fine of fifty

The grand jurors in and for the body of sad.d county of
Roekingham and now attending said Court at its October term, 1927,
upon their oaths do present that Irvin Tanksley, who was heretofore on the 22d day of January, 1926, convicted of violating the
Prohibition laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, in the corporation
Court of

_; Staunt.on , , Virginia, and who then and there was

sentenced to pay a fine of one hundred twenty-five dollars and
to serve f or a period of sixty days in Jail, did, within one year
next prior to the finding of this indictment, in the said county
of Rockingham, unlawfully and feloniously manufacture, sell, offer,
keep, store and expose for sale, give away, transport, dispense,
solicit, advertise and receive orders for ardent spirits, against
t he peace and dignity of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
The jurors aforesaid upon their oaths aforesaid do further
present that Irvin Tanksley, who was heretofore on the 22d day

of January, 1926, convicted of violating the Prohibition laws of
the Commonwealth of Virginia, in the Corporation Court of Staunton
Virginia, and who then and there was sentenced to pay a fine of
one hundred twenty five dollars and to serve for a period of sixty

The jurors afore said upon their oaths aforesaid do further
present that Irvin Tanksley, who was heretofore on the 22d day of
January, 1926, convicted of violating the Prohibition laws of the
Commonwealth of Virginia, in the CDrporation Court of Staunton,
Virginia, and who then and there was sentenced to pay a fine of
one hundred twenty-five dollars and to serve for a period of sixty

��days in jail, did, within one year next prior to the finding
of this indictmen t in the said county of Rockingham, unlawfull y
and felonious ly receive ardent spirits, against the peace and
dignity of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
