Conrad Commonwealth's Attorney Harrisonburg, Virginia Re: Charles Tobin Dear Mr. Conrad: This will acknowledge receipt of your letter April 10th concerning the above mentioned boy. of After careful study and examinations our staff diagnosed this case as Mental Deficiency, Undifferentiated; Intellectual Status: Imbecile. This boy got along nicely here at the Colony and caused no trouble. In December 1950 this boy's mother requested that he be allowed to return hom for Christmas and we took this matter up with Mr. Robert Switzer and he wrote us on December 19, 1950 that the Judge did not feel that he had any jurisdiction over this boy and we therefore permitted him to go home for two weeks.
