The grand jurors in and for the body of said
county of Rockingham and now at t ending said Court at its April
term, 1929, u pon t h eir oaths do present that Claude Henton and
Grace Harrison, on or about February 13, 1929, in the said county
of Rockingham, did unlawfully dispense, give away, and sell ardent spirits, against the peace and dignity of the Commonwealth
of Virginia.
This indictment is found on the testimony of
Elsie Butler, Frank Long , Frank Newman, C.R. Fawley, and James
Ewell, witnesses sworn in Court and sent before the grand Jury
to give evidence.

1. If only Ard ent Spirits and containers be seized
the Magistrate shall fix a time not less than 10
nor m or e than 30 days from the date of r eturn
for the h earing of said return. If no claimant appear, the Ardent Spirits and articles are to .be forfeited to Commonwealth. Any person claiming
any of same must file a written claim stating particularly the character and extent of his interest
therein, wh er eupon the Magistrate shall certify the
warrant, written claim and articles claimed, to the
Circuit or Corporation Court, as the case may b e,
for determination, and declare the unclaimed articles for fe ited.
2. If still, still cap, worm, tub s. h eat er, ferment er s,
or any appli a nce co nnect ed witl1 a still and u sed.
or ma sh or other substance capable of being u sed ,
in the manufacture of Ardent Spirit s, be seized ,
the mash (after taking sample ) shall be de stroyed,
and the facts and articles seized r eported to the
prohibition Commissioner and Commonwealth 's
