Celebrating Simms Exhibit

The original Celebrating Simms exhibit opened in April 2016 in the main hall of the original school building, now the Lucy F. Simms Continuing Education Center. The exhibit tells the story of Simms, her students, and the broader school community through photographs, community memories, archival documents, and student research. You can view the exhibit in full below. You can also watch responses from community members recorded at the exhibit opening on our reactions and press page or listen to fully transcribed oral histories with former Lucy F. Simms students, recorded in 2023, on our Lucy F. Simms oral histories page.

Use the left and right arrows above to view the Celebrating Simms exhibit as it appears at the Lucy F.
