Prohibition Collection Inventory
Here you will find digital surrogates of all cases related to prohibition in Rockingham County from 1916-1933. Prohibition was not ratified in the US until 1919, however, Virginia implemented state laws several years earlier prohibiting the manufacturing and exportation of "intoxicating liquors." Anyone found guilty of such, was tried in the local circuit court.
