A marriage register covering the marriages of African Americans during the years 1888-1910. Until the end of the Civil War marriages between slaves were not legally recognized. This register was digitized as a part of a grant received from the Library of Virginia. A physical copy of the book can be viewed in the deed room at Augusta County Circuit Court.
